Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (myalgic encephalomyelitis, ME/CFS) is a long-lasting illness marked by post-exertional malaise (PEM)—a crash after physical or mental effort—plus unrefreshing sleepcognitive difficulties, and often orthostatic intolerance (worse symptoms upright).
