The following is a list of what is included in the item above. Click the test(s) below to view what biomarkers are measured along with an explanation of what the biomarker is measuring.
Also known as: CBC, CBC includes Differential and Platelets, CBC/PLT w/DIFF, Complete Blood Count (includes Differential and Platelets)
NOTE: Ulta Lab Tests provides CBC test results from Quest Diagnostics as they are reported. Often, different biomarker results are made available at different time intervals. When reporting the results, Ulta Lab Tests denotes those biomarkers not yet reported as 'pending' for every biomarker the test might report. Only biomarkers Quest Diagnostics observes are incorporated and represented in the final CBC test results provided by Ulta Lab Tests.

The Thyroid Complete panel contains 11 tests with 97 biomarkers.
Brief Description: The Thyroid Complete Panel is an extensive test designed to evaluate thyroid function and overall health. It includes a variety of tests that assess the thyroid gland's performance, potential autoimmune thyroid disorders, and general health markers that can be impacted by thyroid function. This comprehensive approach helps in diagnosing thyroid conditions, monitoring treatment effectiveness, and identifying other health concerns that may be related to thyroid health.
Collection Method: Blood Draw and Urine Collection
Specimen Type: Whole Blood, Serum, and Urine
Test Preparation: The patient should be fasting 9-12 hours prior to collection and collection should be done in the morning.
Specific to TSH: Specimen collection after fluorescein dye angiography should be delayed for at least 3 days. For patients on hemodialysis, specimen collection should be delayed for 2 weeks.
According to the assay manufacturer Siemens: "Samples containing fluorescein can produce falsely depressed values when tested with the Advia Centaur TSH3 Ultra assay."
The Thyroid Complete Panel is typically ordered when symptoms suggest a thyroid disorder (such as hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism), to monitor the effectiveness of treatment for a known thyroid condition, or to assess overall health in relation to thyroid function. Symptoms prompting this panel may include fatigue, weight changes, temperature sensitivity, and changes in heart rate.
Complete Blood Count with Differential and Platelets: Evaluates overall health and detects a range of disorders, including anemia and infection, which can be influenced by thyroid function.
Comprehensive Metabolic Panel: Provides information on the status of your kidneys, liver, electrolyte and acid/base balance, as well as levels of blood glucose and proteins.
Iron Total: Iron levels can be affected by thyroid function, with both hypo- and hyperthyroidism potentially impacting iron metabolism.
Lipid Panel with Ratios: Thyroid disorders can influence cholesterol levels; this test helps identify risks for atherosclerosis and heart disease.
Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG): SHBG levels can be altered by thyroid hormones, affecting the availability of sex hormones.
T3 Reverse, T3 Free, and T4 Free: These tests measure different forms of thyroid hormones in the blood, providing insight into thyroid gland activity.
Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies and Thyroglobulin Antibodies: Check for autoimmune thyroid diseases like Hashimoto's thyroiditis and Graves' disease.
Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH): A crucial hormone for diagnosing and monitoring thyroid disorders, as it regulates thyroid hormone production.
Urinalysis Complete: Offers clues about overall health and detects a variety of disorders, including those related to kidney function and metabolism.
This panel can detect conditions such as:
Healthcare professionals utilize this panel to:
The Thyroid Complete Panel is an essential tool in understanding not just the thyroid gland's health but also providing a snapshot of an individual's overall well-being. With its comprehensive approach, it aids healthcare professionals in diagnosing, monitoring, and optimizing treatment for thyroid-related disorders, while also flagging potential health issues that may require further investigation or management.
